Mr. Callahan's lives his life with a strong commitment and deep love for his wife and twin teenage boys (youth sailing World Champions) and firmly believe in "family first."

While continuing his leadership and strategy responsibilities, Mr. Callahan is currently researching and beginning to write about the systems, culture and leadership that he has been able to bring to the non-profit world, an endeavor undertaken primarily at the urging of his friend, Ray Dalio, founder of Bridgewater Associates.

While Callahan’s initial strategy was to expand horizontally (geographically), he is now exploring the Sail To Prevail strategy to grow "vertically," to better understand why the organization has been so successful over the past two decades.

The ultimate goal is to “teach the teachers” so that others may share how to overcome adversity through practices that have been created and developed over time.  Of tantamount importance, Mr. Callahan’s ultimate goal is to teach people to overcome adversity, whether or not they have a disability.
